Anthropometric Measuring System (AMS)
Features

The AMS consists of an electromechanical measuring instrument linked to a personal computer with size allocation and database software.

The AMS presents measurement information in alphanumeric format. Both the measurement parameter and value are continuously displayed on the instrument in close proximity to the measurement position. The six measurement stations are:

• Station 1 - Mass
• Station 2 - Upper body vertical measurements
• Station 3 - Lower body vertical measurements
• Station 4 - Foot width
• Station 5 - Foot length
• Station 6 - Electronic tape measure for all circumference measurements

Each station can be easily programmed to measure up to 50 measurement parameters. In addition, different measurement variables can be programmed for male and female measurements.

A measurement value is registered on the personal computer by pressing a pushbutton on the applicable station of the AMS. The measurement value is verified on the AMS and conveyed to the computer.

The size allocation software receives the electronically encoded measurement value, allocates the appropriate clothing size for the measurement, and stores it in the database. At the end of the measurement process a Size Allocation Sheet is printed, which presents personal information, measured values for that individual and the associated size for each clothing item.

At the end of the day or when required the shop buyer and / or logistical clerk in an industrial or military environment can extract consolidated reports from the data stored on the database. The Size Allocation Report presents the sum of each size allocated per clothing item.

Software
The AMS software runs on Microsoft Windows 2000 or higher. The clothing size allocation software is integrated with the database software.

The software features routines for measurement, personnel registration, measurement instrument programming, registration of clothing items, allocation criteria and report generation for both male and female genders. The software to can be used with the AMS linked with via RS-232 communication cable or as stand-alone unit with manual entry of data.
