normal updating and
replacement of military equipment continually leads to items
in the South African National Defence Force (SANDF) stores becoming
redundant and available for sale.
This Division, appointed by the DoD, sells such items according
to governmentally approved processes.
In terms of RSA Government Policy, small arms, small arms spares,
as well as small arms ammunition (12,7mm and smaller) may not
be sold or exported. Armaments may not be sold to private individuals
or companies but only to governments and National Conventional
Arms Control Committee recognised local companies (within preset
guidelines).
